Golden Dome Stays is a family-owned business created from our family's deep connection to Notre Dame and South Bend.
Our Story
We're the Hoagland family, and our connection to South Bend began when our son, Jack, came to Notre Dame.
For four years, Notre Dame wasn't simply a college campus to our family — it became home. Jack was a student-athlete and a member of the Notre Dame swimming program, and through those years, our family spent countless weekends in South Bend experiencing everything that makes this community so special.
We came to know the campus, the neighborhoods, the restaurants, the traditions, and the rhythm of South Bend throughout the year. From football Saturdays and early mornings at the pool to walks around campus, family weekends, and everything in between, South Bend became a place our family genuinely loved.
During his years at Notre Dame, Jack's connection to the area grew. We began investing in the South Bend area and saw an opportunity to create something we wished more visitors had: beautiful, comfortable homes that give families a place to truly feel at home while they're in town.
That's how Golden Dome Stays was born.
Our Homes
Our goal is simple: create homes we'd be proud to have our own family stay in.
Each of our properties is located within approximately a half-mile of Notre Dame's campus, Eddy Street, and Trader Joe's — putting you close enough to walk to campus, grab dinner, or enjoy a game-day weekend without having to spend your trip in the car.
We've built from the ground up or thoughtfully remodeled and furnished each home with comfort, quality, and convenience in mind. You'll find comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchens, fast WiFi, new furnishings, and the little details that make a house feel like home.
Whether you're coming to South Bend for a football game, visiting your student, attending a graduation, returning for a reunion, or simply spending a weekend in a place that means something to you, we want Golden Dome Stays to be your home base.
